The
Church
Planting
Pathway

  • Your first step is to explore our core beliefs and theological distinctives, as well as our values. Next, download and review “What kinds of churches partner with Harbor Network?”

If you would like to take the next step or have additional questions, please fill out this form and we will be in touch.

  • Next, you will attend the Alignment Intensive, a live webinar led by network leaders and attended by pastors and church planters from across the country. This event serves as an overview of the network, covering topics like our partnership principles, theological beliefs, and core values, as well as the benefits and expectations of network membership. You are encouraged to attend alongside your entire team.

More info about the next Alignment Intensive can be found here.

  • The Church Planter Profile paints a picture of your story and context, combining objective data and subjective perspective allows our Assessment Team to discern a potential partnership with Harbor Network. Once completed, the profile is reviewed by our team. If the profile clarifies future assessment, the planter will be invited into the Assessment Process, which includes paperwork, interviews, marriage and personality profiles, and an on-site assessment retreat.

  • Those couples who progress from Step 3 will be invited to attend an Assessment Retreat. This assessment will be conducted by leaders within Harbor Network and helps determine whether the couple is a good fit for church planting in general, and for Harbor Network specifically. Additionally, the Assessment Retreat provides an opportunity to deepen relationships, clarify outstanding questions, and gain the vital perspectives of others into the final decision to plant with Harbor Network.

  • Upon approval to plant with Harbor Network, you will enjoy the fruit of partnership enjoyed by member churches. These ministries are the tangible expressions of the cycles of strength and circles of safety that help our leaders launch, lead, and multiply thriving churches. A network staff member will be your guide through this process, connecting you to key ministries and information, as well as making relational connections and a public welcome to the network.

Why plant churches?

At Harbor, we are praying for God to bring a movement of strong, thriving churches saturating this country so more people in more places can experience rest and renewal in Jesus Christ. If you’d like to learn more about how we partner to assess church planters, click below.
