2020 Annual Report
Celebrating a year of launching, leading, and multiplying thriving churches together.
In the midst of this challenging season, the church has not been stopped. God's kingdom is advancing!
Launching and leading new churches proved to be challenging during a pandemic. Yet God continues to move in supernatural ways to reach communities that desperately need the life-changing message of the gospel. As we head into 2021, we remain absolutely convinced of the power of God to overcome every obstacle.

Financial Overview
When we think about money, people, and other tangible resources required to run our organization, our goal has always been, and continues to be, to wisely and strategically steward the finances, staff, data, systems, tools and technology, and facilities God has given Harbor Network.
a new director hired!
Ed Marcelle is the new Director of Church Planting & Multiplication for the Harbor Network! Here’s a bit of his story in his own words:
“Born in Albany, NY, I was raised in a traditional Catholic home. After my father’s death, I left the University of Wisconsin, Madison on a personal search for truth that led me through a trunk of books, 5 countries, and brought me back to Albany, NY. Here, while operating a record and small press poetry label, I met my future wife, Diane, who had recently become a Christian. Through her witness and the work of her pastor, by the grace of God, I came to a personal faith in Jesus Christ.
In order to prepare for the journey ahead, we left New York to finish degree work at Baptist Bible College of PA (now Summit University), eventually finishing my Master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary.
From there I planted King’s Chapel in Albany County in 1996, serving there for 7 years. I then led a team to plant Terra Nova Church, Troy, NY. It became a multi-site church with a second congregation in Saratoga Springs in 2012, and a third in western Massachusetts in 2016. The three churches now function as a family of churches as the Terra Nova Network.
I have served as the Director of Church Planting for CB MissionNortheast, as the Northeast Regional Director Acts 29, and as Church Planting Director for Converge Northeast.”
We’re excited for what God has in store for our network and for you to get to know Ed.
New Look.
Renewed Vision.
You may have noticed, you may have not. Harbor Network has a new look, and feel! This past year saw the culmination of an 18-month process of rebranding. And while 2020 was simultaneously the worst and most necessary time for us to attempt a reimagining of our identity, it proved quite providential. The forced rest, uncertainty, and turmoil held a mirror to people, communities, churches, and their leaders — forcing many to identify and address parts of themselves previously buried under busy work, life in ministry, and assumed understanding. Harbor Network was not immune. And to have it fall on the eve of our 10-year anniversary was an added bonus!
It all led us to ask a couple of simple questions: What is our network, in essence? Who are we? What do we stand for? Why? We knew no matter what form our new brand took in logo or color or type, a reimagined Harbor Network needed to honor the past, bring us into the future, and embody the circle of safety and cycles of strength that set us apart as a network of churches.
Adorning our new rebrand, a wide range of high-quality merch and media is available for purchase at the new Harbor Network store.
Celebrate with us.
